Genesis 13:3

And he went on his journeys from the south even to Beth-el, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-el and Hai;

He went on by stages from the south country back to Bethel, to the very spot between Bethel and Hai where his tent had stood at the beginning. Wherever he pitched his tent he erected an altar beside it and offered sacrifice morning and evening. When he returned to this former camping place he repaired its altar and worshiped God there.

The surrounding account reveals his unselfish spirit in seeking peace with Lot and in willingly yielding his own preferences to preserve harmony. He called Lot brother not only because of natural kinship but because both of them worshiped the true God.
