Abraham died in a good old age, as an old man and full of years after a long, full life. His death exemplifies the long lives and deaths in old age of the early patriarchs and early generations. Those early deaths in old age were natural, with a simple account of dying in old age and no disease recorded. That longevity contrasts with the decreasing average length of life in later generations.
