Jacob Standing Before His Tents and FlocksBible World
30:43Genesis 30:43
And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
While serving Laban, Jacob grew exceedingly prosperous and his increase became very great. His possessions multiplied to include large flocks and herds of livestock. He also gained many male and female servants, together with camels and donkeys. This visible growth in wealth aroused jealousy in Laban and in Laban's sons. Their envy, joined with Jacob's own prosperity, gave him cause to fear staying longer among them.
