Genesis 35:27
And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned. And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.
Mamre, where Jacob came to Isaac his father, is also called Hebron, the city of Arbah, where Abraham and Isaac had lived as sojourners. This coming marks the end of Jacob's journey back to his father after many years apart. The long separation that kept them apart resulted from Rebekah's deceptive counsel over the blessing. Isaac lived for many years after giving Jacob that blessing.
Jacob remained there during the closing years of Isaac's life. His kind care comforted his father, who was infirm and blind, lonely and bereaved. By observing how Esau and Jacob lived, Isaac became convinced that the blessing rightly belonged to Jacob.
