Genesis 37:15
And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou? And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?
Joseph was sent by his father to find his brothers and learn whether they were well, so that he could bring back word of their welfare. He came to Shechem, where his father expected them to be, but they were gone. He was then left alone and wandering in the field, searching from field to field for them. A man found him there and asked what he was seeking, and he made known that he was trying to locate his brothers.
The man directed him onward to Dothan, where his brothers were. Joseph willingly and cheerfully continued the long journey onward, because he loved his brothers and wanted to ease his father's anxiety. That loving service and obedience were repaid with mistreatment, when his brothers seized and sold him and he was taken captive at Dothan.
