Joseph Interprets Dreams in the Prisonby emmanuel_higgins

Genesis 40:10

And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

The verse preserves a detail of the chief butler's dream, a vine with three branches that budded and blossomed with unusual quickness and then bore clusters that ripened into grapes. The three branches signified three days. When those three days were ended the butler would be restored to his office and would again serve Pharaoh.

Joseph gave interpretations to both the chief butler and the baker, and the events came to pass just as he had declared, including the butler's restoration.
