Genesis 43:28
And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance. And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.
The brothers answer as servants speaking of their father, declaring that Jacob is in good health and still alive, and they bow their heads and make obeisance to Joseph. Their answer responds to Joseph's inquiry about their own welfare and about the old man of whom they had told him. It follows their presenting to him the gift sent in their father's name with bowing themselves to him to the earth.
Their bowing of the head is the customary act of respect and repeats their earlier obeisance before him. This bowing before Joseph fulfills his dreams of his family bowing down to him, and those dreams come to his mind during this meeting.
Immediately after this greeting Joseph lifts his eyes and sees Benjamin, his mother's son, and blesses him. With yearning affection for his brother he hurries to his chamber to weep, then washes his face and calls for bread to be served.
