So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
Joseph had gladly forgiven his brothers when he sent them away abundantly supplied with provisions, carriages, and everything needed to move his father's household and their own families to Egypt. At that sending he gave Benjamin more valuable presents than he gave the rest of his brothers. His parting charge as they departed was not to quarrel, dispute, or fall out with one another on the way home.
He gave this warning because he feared they would quarrel and charge one another with guilt for their cruel treatment of him. He also gave it because he feared the greater gifts bestowed on Benjamin would stir envy and disputes among them.
