Genesis 48:2
And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed. And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
The time is that of the famine that reached to the land of Canaan and pressed heavily upon the place where Jacob was living. Word came of the abundant provision that had been made by the king of Egypt, and upon hearing of it ten of Jacob's sons traveled there to buy grain. With the other applicants for food they bowed with their faces to the earth before the ruler of the land. That ruler was Joseph acting as the king's deputy, yet to them he was known only under the Egyptian name given him by the king. Unrecognized in his position as prime minister of Egypt, he saw his former dreams return to his mind as his brothers stooped before him in obeisance.
