Genesis 8:19
Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
Genesis 8 belongs to the inspired Old Testament account of real history. Noah was a real person, and the Flood was a real historical event. The Flood destroyed the world as God's judgment for its increasing sin, iniquity, and rebellion. The ark was a massive boat, a massive vessel God provided to save all who would hear the warning and turn from unrighteousness.
God's warning was fulfilled when the rebellious world was destroyed and the obedient were preserved in the ark. Only eight persons were saved. All were tested by the truth that Noah preached, and those who believed it were saved. The days of Noah prefigure the age before Christ appears in the clouds of heaven, because human nature without God's Spirit is the same in both ages.
