Hebrews 13:7

The church is called to remember faithful leaders who have spoken to them the word of God. That remembrance is directed to those who taught God's word, not to leaders in a merely formal sense. Their rule is exercised in service to that word, as those who have spoken it to the church. The church is further called to follow the faith of such leaders. Considering the end of their manner of life means considering the end of that faith, namely its object and subject, Jesus Christ, who remains the same forever.
