Hosea 13:6
According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
Ephraim was given pasture in full measure, and in that plenty it was filled to satisfaction. Being filled did not keep it humble, for its heart was lifted up in pride. That exalted heart then forgot God, turning abundance into estrangement from Him. So prosperity led to self-exaltation, and self-exaltation led to forgetfulness of God.
