Hosea 4:10
For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
Hosea 4:10 belongs to a chapter that sets forth the condition of the inhabitants of the land. That chapter stands as a warning about the preparation needed for the coming of the Lord.
To leave off taking heed to the Lord is to trample upon God's law and to make human laws to force upon others. This forsaking comes through blindness by error, by taking words from the lips of priests and human lawmakers and supposing it does not matter whether God's law instituted in Eden is kept. It specifically includes devising and planning to enforce Sunday on the plea that the whole world keeps it and that the faithful are few and should follow the laws of the land. God's law is the memorial given when the foundations of the earth were laid, honoring the living God who made the world in six days and sanctified and blessed the day of His rest.
