Hosea 4:14

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

In its setting in Hosea 4, the verse exposes people trampling on God's law in order to make human laws and force others to accept them. It applies to demanding that the few who keep God's law follow the world in keeping Sunday because the laws of the land require it. The verse means that priests and human lawmakers blind people with error so they take human words instead of God's word. Under that blindness people suppose it does not matter if they do not keep the law of God that was instituted in Eden when the foundations of the earth were laid. That law is the memorial honoring the living God who made the world in six days and sanctified and blessed the day of His rest.
