Hosea 7:12
When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard. When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
Hosea 7:12 belongs to Hosea's warning that the northern tribes of Israel would go into captivity. In that warning the verse cautions Israel against wicked alliances, specifically alliance with Egypt. The verse announces chastisement upon the people for their iniquity. Hosea's surrounding message joins this warning with hopeful remonstrance, tender appeal, and further prophecy of the future.
