Hosea 9:7
The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
The appointed days of visitation and of recompense mean that Israel's set time of divine judgment has arrived. Israel shall know it means the people themselves will recognize and undergo the consequences. This reckoning comes because of persistent sin and refusal to return to the Lord, a multitude of iniquity that is entrenched and incurable evil.
