Isaiah 1:31
And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them. And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
The strong become like dry, highly flammable fiber ready to catch fire, while the maker of that strength becomes like the spark that ignites it. Those who abandon the Lord are the ones who will be consumed in that burning. The strong and those who turn their own strength into their security are the ones who will be consumed together.
Their burning together means both are destroyed at once in the same fire. No one will be able to stop or put out that destruction once it begins, for it is unstoppable and consuming to the end. This unquenchable judgment falls upon liquor dealers and the places where intoxicating drinks are sold, warning all responsible for that evil that judgment awaits them.
