Isaiah 10:3

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

The verse pronounces woe upon those who decree unrighteous decrees that oppress the needy. It condemns turning the poor aside from justice and taking away the rights of the poor. It condemns making widows a prey and robbing the fatherless. In the day of visitation, when desolation comes from far, the guilty will have no recourse. There will be no one to whom they can flee for help, and nowhere they can leave their glory.

Without God they will bow down under the prisoners and fall under the slain. His anger is not turned away, and His hand is stretched out still. This warning stands as the word of the Lord describing the condition of the world now. It stands in contrast to the comfort God presents to those who are of a contrite and humble spirit.
