Isaiah 13:22
And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
This verse belongs to the prophecy of Babylon's fall. It sets Babylon in its former splendor as the glory of kingdoms against its coming ruin. Its once splendid houses and pleasant palaces become desolate, inhabited only by wild beasts and other wild creatures. The city would be laid waste and remain uninhabited as a lasting sign of judgment against its pride. Her appointed end comes soon and will not be prolonged or delayed. This ruin is the sure judgment of God.
