Isaiah 17:8

And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.

In Judah's coming dark days a remnant would turn from idolatry to worship Jehovah. To turn to their Maker and honor the Holy One of Israel is to no longer look to or respect the altars that are the work of human hands, nor what fingers have made, whether sacred groves or images. That rejection of self-made idols is a decided reformation that brings worship of God alone. In that return to Jehovah the remnant would learn to see their Maker's love and mercy and compassion.
