Isaiah 22:7

And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.

The oracle belongs to the prophecy about the valley of vision. It is directed against Jerusalem itself, rather than belonging to the prophecies against foreign nations that surround it in chapters 13-23. What it sets forth is one of God's judgments upon a people. It portrays an impending attack on Jerusalem in which the choicest surrounding valleys become full of chariots and mounted troops take their stand in array at the city gate.
