Isaiah 25:11

And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

The outstretched hands are the Lord's hands spread in the midst of Moab, moving as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim in order to subdue Moab and its strength. This points to a future time when all pride and self-exaltation will have been destroyed, when their pride will be brought down together with the gains secured by their own power. At that time Moab will be trodden down under Him just as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. The fortress of the high fort of its walls will be brought down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust. The wider setting of Isaiah 25-26 is the preparation God has made for the marriage feast, which is pardon and the removal of sins through the riches of His grace.
