Isaiah 27:6

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

Those who come of Jacob, or Israel, are God's church on earth in every age, including the Jewish church as His vineyard. The promise declares God's eternal purpose for the house of Israel as His vineyard to take firm root and blossom and fill the face of the world with fruit in pure, holy service. That vine is the one He brought out of Egypt and planted and enriched with every benefit and blessing in order to receive fruit from it in its season.

The Lord Himself keeps this vineyard, watering it every moment day and night so that no harm touches it. He has no fury toward it and is ready to destroy the briars and thorns set against it. As a vine carefully tended with painstaking effort yields rich returns, so He expects to receive fruit from it in its season.

The promise is fulfilled by God's church on earth today and is being fulfilled even now. God is gathering the precious harvest He has long waited for from men of all nations and peoples into an abundant harvest of precious souls. That worldwide fruitfulness comes through a consecrated church disseminating Bible truth and proclaiming the truths of the everlasting gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. In cooperation with heavenly intelligences it rapidly occupies the waste places of the earth.

Its final and complete fulfillment comes in the glad day when the Master of the vineyard comes unto His own, when the descendants of Jacob will become firmly rooted and bloom and make the whole world fruitful. This fruitful work brings to men the benefits foreshadowed centuries ago in the promise to Abraham and to all Israel that those whom God blesses shall be a blessing. For this reason Israel is to hope in God.
