Isaiah Rebukes the Proud Daughters of Zionby emmanuel_higgins

Isaiah 3:19

The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

The verse lists chains, bracelets, and mufflers, understood as face coverings, among the ornaments worn by the daughters of Zion. Those wearers were the proud women of Jerusalem who displayed these accessories openly. Their showy display went on amid widespread oppression and injustice, illustrating the people's love of luxury. The ornaments thus picture pride and love of display and show.

The naming of such ornaments belongs to a reproof of concentrating on outward appearance and display, and that prophecy applies to the last days.
