Isaiah 30:4

For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.

Isaiah 30:1-15 belongs to leaders and professed teachers among God's people who have great light yet are unconverted in heart and soul. They retain old hereditary and cultivated character while taking positions as counsellors and wise men, and they mingle their own spirit with their words and actions. They walk contrary to the principles God spoke from the pillar of cloud and confederate together to do the very things God expressly forbade.

Their course misrepresents God and insults His honor, causes justice and mercy and love for God and man to fall in the streets so that equity cannot enter, blinds their eyes so they cannot see, and weakens God's work and dishonors heavenly truth. The word will be fulfilled to all who claim to be teachers yet act out these principles, while God will still have a remnant people purified, made white and tried who see their teachers and hear behind them a voice directing them to the way they should walk.
