Isaiah 32:10

Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

The verse is a warning to women who are careless and at ease that trouble will come upon them over many days and years, with a failing vintage and no gathering to follow. The chapter in which it stands foretold the desolation that afterward marked Chorazin, Bethsaida, Capernaum, and the region around Galilee. The prophecy concerns Israel, and Israel in it serves as a type of conditions in the Christian age.

It belongs with the prophecies that look forward to the last days and to the judgments of God upon the earth. The warning calls those who are at ease to awaken, to examine their motives, and to turn from self-satisfaction before the time of judgment comes.
