Isaiah 32:11

Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.

Tremble as women settled in comfort and be troubled as ones living carelessly and securely, for the call is to wake up, feel alarm, and humble the self in mourning and repentance in the face of coming distress. That humbling is pictured by stripping off, being made bare, and binding sackcloth upon the loins. The warning stands among prophecies concerning Israel, with Israel serving as a type of conditions in the Christian age.

The same chapter describes a desolation in which the land is overrun with thorns and briers and joyful homes are left desolate. That desolation is fulfilled in the ruined and deserted region of Galilee.

The urgency for women is to examine and purify themselves while there is still time, because the night is near when no one can work. The warning is to be turned upon the own heart and motives rather than applied to others. That self-examination is to recognize and repent of pride and self-satisfaction, and to grow in love and humility while seeking Christ's righteousness before the coming judgment.
