Hezekiah Spreads Sennacherib's Letter Before the LORDby emmanuel_higgins

Isaiah 37:17

Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.

When danger pressed, Hezekiah sought God in humility and prayer, and this cry belongs to that example of turning to Him under threat. He begged the Lord to incline His ear to hear and to open His eyes to see the situation. The attention he requested was directed to all the words Sennacherib had sent in reproach against the living God.
