Isaiah 47:13

Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

Babylon is confronted as exhausted by the sheer number of its counsels, worn out from seeking guidance in many directions. Its astrologers, its stargazers, and its monthly prognosticators are called to stand up and rescue it from the disasters about to fall upon it. Their occult arts and foretellings prove unable to deliver the city when divine judgment arrives. All its vaunted wisdom and predictions leave it helpless and cannot hold back its downfall.
