Isaiah 47:14
Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
The verse belongs to the sentence pronounced upon Babylon that its pride and false sense of security, together with its trust in sorcery, will terminate in sudden desolation under divine judgment. The they who become as stubble are Babylon's astrologers and sorcerers, who are themselves consumed by fire, unable to deliver themselves from the power of the flame and unable to rescue the nation from that judgment. When they are burned there is left not a coal to give warmth nor a fire to sit before, meaning they afford no warmth and no place of refuge afterward.
