Isaiah 65:10
And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me. And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
Sharon is to become an enclosure and grazing ground for flocks, and the valley of Achor a place where herds lie down at rest, given to God's people who have sought Him. That promised fold and resting-place belongs to those who seek Him, with pasture provided for the flocks and quiet lying-down for the herds.
It does not prove that the whole world will be converted in this mortal state. It describes the new earth and not this old sin-cursed earth. There the beasts are restored from the effects of the curse and are no more out of their proper places than when first created before the fall.
The chapter is to be heeded as instruction calling God's people to receive what He teaches, turn from wrongdoing, and serve Him faithfully. They must cease complaint and evil working, put away the evil of their doings, draw near, repent and be converted, for their present ways are not accepted. When they do so the Lord will manifest His power in the conviction and conversion of souls.
Chapters 62 through 65 speak in a most decided manner for this reformation. Chapters 60 and 61 will be understood when that same reformation comes to God's people.
The same promise rebukes the church's failure to seek the lost sheep and bring them into the fold. That duty must be acknowledged before wandering ones such as George Lay can be reached.
