Isaiah 65:15

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

Isaiah 65 belongs to the prophecy of the new earth, where creation is restored from the effects of the curse. The peace among animals described in the chapter belongs to that future restored state, not to the present mortal world. The prophecy does not teach that all people in fallen humanity will become holy.

The chapter is a decisive message calling God's people to heed instruction. It speaks in a most decided manner to those who have disregarded reproof, especially those in high positions of influence and responsibility. Its warning applies to the church's failure to seek the lost sheep and is relevant to the cases of church members who neglect that duty.

Obeying it means ending complaint and evil working, putting away the evil of their works, drawing near, repenting, and being converted, because their ways are not accepted of God. When the message is received and obeyed, the Lord manifests His power in the conviction and conversion of souls. That obedience brings a reformation through the congregation of Israel, and with that reformation Isaiah 60 and 61 come to be understood.
