Isaiah 65:9
And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
Isaiah 65:9 belongs to the prophecy of the new earth, not to this mortal state upon the old sin-cursed earth. It does not prove the conversion of the entire world. The peace among animals in its context, with the leopard resting with the young goat and the lion eating straw like the ox, will take place in the new earth, where beasts restored from the effects of the curse will be as much in their proper place as when created before the fall.
The verse speaks in a most decided manner to the people of God, especially those in high positions carrying great responsibilities. It calls them to stop complaining and harmful action, to put away the evil of their works, to draw near, repent and be converted because their ways are not accepted, requiring a reformation to go through the congregation of Israel.
It applies to the church's failure to seek the lost sheep and bring them into the fold. The church must see and acknowledge its wrong and clear itself of the guilt of neglect before George Lay can be reached. When its words are taken up, the Lord appears for the conviction and conversion of souls.
