Isaiah 66:17
They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves in gardens behind one tree in the midst, while eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, shall be consumed together by the judgment of the Lord. The eating of swine's flesh and other abominable foods stands among the acts for which that consuming judgment is pronounced. That threat of consumption is not confined to the Jewish age but remains in force to the close of the present age.
Those who claim religious purity while joining in practices opposed to God will be destroyed together with those they join, without distinction. Religious profession does not exempt from condemnation those who dishonor God by taking part in political party conflict and contention.
