Isaiah 7:2
And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind. And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
Word reached the house of David that Syria had allied itself with Ephraim in hostility toward Judah, and Ahaz together with his people was seized by intense fear. Their hearts shook as woodland trees sway back and forth before the wind. Such overwhelming terror exposed that repeated wrongdoing had drained away their strength. They were left without firmness and dreading the judgments of God.
