Jeremiah 10:7
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
He is the King of nations, the King of all nations. Among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like Him, and no wise person, ruler, or kingdom can compare with Him. To Him reverent fear belongs, and He alone is to be feared and is worthy of universal reverence. He is unmatched in greatness and might and is great in might.
He is the true God, the living God, and the everlasting King, at whose wrath the earth trembles. He is the former of all things who made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, and stretched out the heavens by His discretion, while the gods that did not make heaven and earth are falsehood, vanity, and the work of errors that shall perish. Therefore His people must not learn the way of the heathen nor be dismayed as the heathen are.
Christians who profess truth yet drink at polluted fountains of unbelief and lead others away from the pure cold snow-waters are fools though they profess themselves wise. The person who trusts in man and departs from the Lord is cursed, but the person who trusts in the Lord is blessed, for He is the Hope of Israel and the fountain of living waters who heals and saves. After affliction and purification, God's people would acknowledge His greatness and might and recognize that He alone is the true, living, everlasting King.
