Jeremiah 11:15
What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest. What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
The beloved found in God's house is His own people, yet they have no rightful place there when they have acted corruptly with many others. The consecrated flesh has departed from them, leaving them without the holiness that once marked them as His. Their guilt is deepened because when they do evil they rejoice in it rather than repent of it. This condition has come because they refused to hear and to do the words of His covenant.
That covenant was the one He made with them when He brought their fathers out of Egypt. Instead of obedience they walked after the imagination of their own evil heart. Therefore He will bring upon them all the words of the covenant which they have broken. He will not hear them when they cry to Him in their trouble, and they are not to be prayed for, for there is no excuse for turning away from truth and righteousness.
