Jeremiah 13:19

The shutting up of the cities of the south with none to open them means that Judah's cities in the south would be closed and left without anyone to open them, and the carrying away of Judah captive wholly means that the whole nation would be taken captive. It is a warning to the Jews belonging to the warnings in Jeremiah 12 to 24. It is part of Jeremiah's warning that Babylon would swiftly punish Judah for its idolatry and sin.
