Jeremiah 14:10
Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
Thus have this people loved to wander from God, they have not restrained their feet from wandering, but have persisted in it and followed their own corrupt ways. Therefore the Lord does not accept them but rejects them, and He will now remember their iniquity and guilt and visit their sins to call them to account in punishment. In its setting this is reproof to the nation for forsaking and forgetting God and for breaking His law and covenant. The same reproof applies to God's people whenever they backslide and conform to a world that loves sin and hates truth.
