Jeremiah 17:3
O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders. O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
God's word in this verse is a denunciation of wrongdoing, aimed with special force at those entrusted with positions of trust. It declares judgment upon Judah for its wickedness, decreeing that its substance and wealth and all its treasures shall be handed over to be plundered as spoil. Its high places, because they were made instruments of sin, shall likewise be given over to desolation throughout all its borders and across the whole land.
