Jeremiah 19:9
And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
The doom was pronounced against Jerusalem and Judah as a nation facing approaching judgment. The warning declared that terrible suffering would come upon them because they had rejected God's words. This threat of being driven to eat the flesh of sons, daughters, and friends belonged to that sentence of judgment upon the nation.
