Jeremiah 21:8
And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.
God holds before the people a deliberate choice between the way of life and the way of death. The way of life is found in accepting His truth and His law, while the way of death is followed by listening to deceptive teachings and turning away from that law. Those who persist in wrongdoing will at last meet punishment, though He has borne long with them in patience.
