Jeremiah 22:24

As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;

Even though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were as precious and closely held to God as a signet ring upon the right hand, God declares with the oath As I live, saith the LORD, that He would still pluck him thence. His removal is certain judgment, not prevented by the king's status or value.

After Judah's kings and people turned from God and the kingdom fell, they could no longer be redeemed. That fall marks the end of the Jewish years of release and Jubilees, after Josiah's reign ended in 607 BC.

The chapter belongs in its place in chronological order, without further light on this verse beyond that declaration.
