Jeremiah 22:26
And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die. And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
Jeremiah 22:26 belongs to the warnings to the Jews given in Jeremiah 12 to 24. It foretells that the king and the mother that bore him would be cast out, driven into another country, a foreign land where they were not born, and would die there. The judgment and exile it describes marked the end of the period in which the Jewish release years and jubilees were kept, for after Josiah's reign ended in 607 B.C. the kings, nobles, people, and land were no longer in a position to be redeemed. Its warning and appeal is peculiarly applicable to the present day.
