Jeremiah 22:7
And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
Jeremiah 22:7 belongs to Jeremiah's weeping over Judah at a time when false prophets were active, God's law and the principles of righteousness were utterly rejected, and Jeremiah himself was persecuted. In chronological order it stands early in the account of Jeremiah's experiences in Judah recorded from chapter 20 onward, coming right after chapter 20 together with chapter 23. It reveals the awful enormity of sin and its sure consequence in destroyers prepared and sent against Judah.
