Jeremiah 23:8
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. The promise was given while the armies of Babylon were threatening Judah, to sustain the hope of those who stayed loyal to God. The Lord Himself would collect the scattered seed of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands to which He had driven them, and would bring them back to live in their own country. That coming restoration would stand as a deliverance so famous that it would outshine even the exodus from Egypt.
