Jeremiah 31:27
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
Jeremiah 31:27 belongs to the record in Jeremiah 30-31, which was written in a book immediately after the exchange of letters between Jeremiah and the elders captive in Babylon, to set forth what had been revealed regarding the restoration of Israel. The promise of the return given in that record was sure. More than sixty years after it was written, in the first year of Darius the Mede, Daniel prayerfully studied it together with Jeremiah 25 as plain testimony showing the number of the years to be accomplished in the desolations of Jerusalem, the seventy-year captivity, while he was perplexed over how those seventy years related to the twenty-three hundred years to elapse before the cleansing of the sanctuary.
