Jeremiah Praying Outside a Walled Cityby MuzFamily

Jeremiah 32:16 marks the moment after the evidence of the purchase was delivered to Baruch the son of Neriah when prayer to the Lord begins, and that prayer is to be carefully considered. It opens by declaring that the Lord made the heavens and the earth by His great power and stretched-out arm, and that nothing is too hard for Him. It addresses Him as the great, the mighty God, the Lord of hosts, great in counsel and mighty in work. It declares that He shows lovingkindness to thousands while recompensing the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them.

It declares that His eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give to every one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. It recalls that He set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, in Israel and among other men even to that day, and thereby made for Himself a name as at that day. It recalls that He brought Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and stretched-out arm and with great terror to the adversary, and gave them the land He swore to their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. It confesses that they came in and possessed it but obeyed not His voice nor walked in His law and did nothing of all He commanded, so He caused all this evil to come upon them.
