Jeremiah 32:35
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
Molech was a god on whose altar sons and daughters were sacrificed by fire. That same Moloch still demands sacrifice in unchecked passion, and licentious indulgence is its modern altar. Young people who give themselves to such indulgence ignorantly sacrifice themselves upon it, surrendering health and happiness and life itself. The offering also costs a sound mind, an approving conscience, and high moral sensibility.
