Jeremiah 32:41
Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
The promise was spoken when Jerusalem stood on the brink of ruin by the Chaldeans, with its gates and palaces to be burned and its people to be carried away captive, as assurance that God's eternal purpose for Israel would still be fulfilled. It declares that He would gather His driven people out of all the countries where He had scattered them in anger and fury, and bring them back again to their own land. There He would cause them to dwell safely as His people, giving them one heart and one way to fear Him forever for their good and the good of their children after them. He would make with them an everlasting covenant never to turn away from doing them good, but to rejoice over them with His whole heart and His whole soul to bless them and to plant them securely in the land.
